Chapter Philanthropy

Children's Miracle Network Hospitals

Phi Mu chapters across the nation raise money for Children's Miracle Network Hospitals. What makes our philanthropy so special and unique is that every chapter gets to donate to the CMN closest to them.  Our local hospital is Blair E. Batson located in Jackson, MS.  Every year, our philanthropy chairman plans a fall, spring, and summer trip to visit the hospital.  This is the most heart-warming feeling, knowing that every dime we donate goes straight to these kids.

Blair E. Batson Children's Hospital

Jackson, Mississippi

Our Chapter gets to visit the kids of Blair E. Batson several times a semester. We play games with them, make crafts, and share stories. Our purpose is to help them forget what ever worries they are going through and feel like a kid again. There's truly nothing like putting a smile on the face of a child going through the unimaginable. The memories we make while visiting Blair E. Batson will last a lifetime.

Every year our chapter sponsors a child from Blair E. Batson Children's Hospital. Meet Jenna, our newest adopted child! She had a heart transplant one year ago at Blair E. Batson Children’s Hospital up in Jackson. We spent time with Jenna and other patients, this summer at the hospital. This visit was an experience we will never forget.

This year Phi Mu hosted our 5th annual Phi Music Fest, Bonnamu. This is a community wide event  held every year on Centennial Lawn in the beginning of September. All of the money raised from this event goes directly to our national and local philanthropy, Children's Miracle Network Hospital and Blair E. Batson Children's Hospital in Jackson, MS. The event is equiot with great food, fun games, raffle prizes, live music, and a dance competition. This past year alone, Phi Mu Alpha Omicron raised over $28,000 for CMN. Each year, we continue to raise even more money to go towards the kids at Blair E. Batson Hospital.
